The President of Faso, Head of State, Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE presided over this Friday morning, the official ceremony of presentation of the attributes of Brigadier General to Colonel Moussa DIALLO, new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
“Brigadier General Moussa DIALLO, I present you with the insignia of your rank”. It is with this formula that the Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE proceeded to wear the epaulettes and present the beret of Brigadier General to the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
After receiving his insignia, the new general officer expressed his gratitude to the Head of State for the trust and said that he received his attributes of Brigadier General with “immense honor and deep gratitude”.
“Beyond being an important step in my military career, it is also an expression of the trust that the Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces and my superiors place in the humble soldier that I am. Allow me to assure you that I fully appreciate its significance,” said the new Brigadier General Moussa DIALLO. He reaffirmed his availability and commitment to work to meet the challenges and live up to the expectations of the highest authorities.
Brigadier General Moussa DIALLO also pledged to the Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces “to assume the rank of Brigadier General by leading with wisdom and fairness, commitment and determination, courage and loyalty.”
As a reminder, it was on December 17, 2024 that the President of Faso, Head of State, Supreme Commander of the National Armed Forces issued a decree elevating Colonel Moussa DIALLO to the rank of Brigadier General. And, the new Brigadier General was appointed on Thursday, December 19, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces by decree of the President of Faso.
