He received his prize from the hands of the Chief of Staff of the President of Faso, Captain Martha Céleste Anderson Dekomwin MEDAH, representing the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE.
Prizes were also awarded in different categories. Thus in the category of horses born in Burkina, with 10 starters over a distance of 1,400 meters, it was the jockey Rachide ZOUNGRANA, with his horse Arzouma who won the trophy with the sum of 200,000 FCFA.
The prize in the foal category, with 16 starters, was won by the horse Publicité driven by a jockey from Bobo-Dioulasso; he won 250,000 FCFA and the trophy.
In the mixed-race category with 8 starters, Wend Konta Wagner of jockey Nassirou OUEDRAOGO, emerged victorious. In addition to the trophy, he won 250,000 FCFA.
The competition between stables from Ouagadougou and Bobo-Dioulasso in the heel category ended with a victory for the center in the tiercé: 1, 2, 3, all the jockeys being from Ouagadougou. The first Adama SANFO with his horse Pablo won the trophy and the sum of 250,000 FCFA.
According to the president of the Burkinabe Federation of Equestrian Sports, Rachid NACOULMA, this competition is organized to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS), the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP), who sacrifice themselves to defend the integrity of the territory.
He praised the courage and dedication of the FDS and VDP in this war against terrorism, and called for solidarity and unity for a victory against the terrorists.
At the end of the competition, the president of the Burkinabe Federation of Equestrian Sports donated a horse to the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE.
